Dr. Paul Lounsberry has been practicing general dentistry in Austin since he graduated from dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1984. One of Dr. Lounsberry’s long-term goals was to have a neighborhood family practice near home. He fulfilled that goal in June of 1995 when he opened Balcones Family Dental, and as the name implies, his practice caters to the entire family! Dr. Lounsberry’s greatest loves in life are his wife Sandy and their three beautiful children. They are also his greatest supporters. As a family, they are involved in the community, schools, sports, and church. Dr. Lounsberry also helps raise money and provides treatment for the Texas Baptist Children’s Home in Round Rock. His other interests include boating, golfing, hunting, and skiing.

Dr. Lounsberry sets a high standard of excellence for himself. As part of this, he is dedicated to continuing education and training to be able to bring you the latest and most effective dental care. Each year he takes more than 50 hours of continuing education courses, and he participates in Lonestar Dental Seminars – a Seattle Study Club. Dr. Lounsberry is also member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and the Capital Area Dental Society.
